Architecture and Construction students got to participate in hands-on activities with local employers at the ACE Mentor Program's Trades Day. Many employers emphasized the need for workers and their interest in hiring our students.

Education Profession students, Justice Edgett and Stephanie Garcia are working with students at Lakeside Elementary. Education Professions is part of the Education and Training pathway offered through the FACS department at Walker Career Center. Students can earn dual credit and begin their future careers with classroom experience at an elementary and/or middle school. Way to go Ed Pro!



These students got to visit WISH TV on Saturday to join the conversation about financial literacy within small owned businesses. They had to cut the program short, but were asked to come back and finish the discussion so it can air in the next few weeks! 👏🏻


Cosmetology students are chasing away the winter blahs by practicing color techniques. What color would lift your spirits?


After spending the week creating rules for working in groups, Finance and Investments students enjoyed playing CashFlow and working on their new rules.

Culinary Arts started the new year with Hoppin' John. A southern, New Year's tradition that is said to bring you a prosperous year filled with luck. The black-eyed peas are symbolic of coins. The leafy green vegetables are the color of currency. How did you celebrate the New Year?

Students like Senior Corey Duncan spend time completing independent study courses in something they are passionate about. Corey spends his time filming and editing our sports teams as well as doing work with our TV Production class.
