Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School.

We have made it through January and hopefully the worst of the weather has passed us by. I am looking forward to having a full month of school with hopefully no weather interruptions or delays. This month we currently have 2 pre-planned days off with February 17th students being out in recognition of President's Day and Tuesday, February 18th students out to allow time for staff professional development. Please note that February 17th will be an asynchronous eLearning day for grades 10-12th with 9th graders having the day off. Teachers will assign work within Canvas classes and on February 18th it will be an asynchronous day for all grades 9-12th and again work will be assigned within student's Canvas courses. We will put out more guidance closer to those days out.

This week we will celebrate our school counselors and the great work they do to ensure your students have what they need to be successful. Additionally, we have already begun to prepare and plan for the next school year. Please be on the lookout for information going out regarding scheduling and summer school. Although only February the end of the year will be here before we know it and we want to ensure our students are on track either ready to graduate or end the year where they should be academically in preparation for the next school year.

Finally,  Warren Central High School proudly honors and recognizes Black History and will continue to celebrate the remarkable contributions of African-Americans throughout history. We remain committed to educating and inspiring our students and community by highlighting the incredible impact African-Americans have had in shaping this nation. From advancements in medicine, theology, education, and architecture to countless other fields, their efforts have been instrumental in our nation's progress. We recognize, appreciate, and will always remember those who paved the way for future generations. Furthermore, we will continue to open our doors to ALL students and ALL families to ensure that they are welcome and safe within our environment. I am proud to be the principal of a school that thrives and benefits from the diversity of students within our building and within our district as a whole.

Have a great evening!
