Good afternoon, Warren Scholars, Families, and Staff,
We have some important announcements for the week of March 6th.
I am excited to share that we completed our first day of strategic planning last week. During this full-day event, we engaged with over 130 community partners, including students, parents, community businesses and stakeholders, board members, and Warren staff. As a part of this day, we unveiled our new Journey of a Graduate or JoG skills and dispositions.
These skills and dispositions of Critical Thinker, Compassionate Collaborator, Effective Communicator, Adaptable Learner, Resilient Leader, and Community Contributor not only bring out the best of what our students have to offer, but they also align with the skills needed to be successful in a fast-changing workforce. Over the next couple of months, we will be defining these skills for each of our grade levels, PK-4, 5-8, and 9-12.
Journey to Kindergarten / Kindergarten Open House for the 2024-2025 school year will be held on Monday, March 18th, from 6:00-8:00 at each of our 9 Warren elementary schools. This kickoff event provides our newest students and families the opportunity to pre-register for the 24-25 school year, take a tour of their new school, meet their teachers and ask questions about the upcoming school year. Our Warren Early Childhood Center will also have an event this evening from 6:00 - 8:00 for preschool students.
For all other grades, online registration is now open for the current 2023-2024 and upcoming 2024-2025 school years. During the online registration process, be sure to select the correct school year. If you wish to enroll in this school year, select the option that begins with 2023-2024. If you wish to enroll for the next school year, select the option that begins with 2024-2025.
Please take the opportunity to register your students for the 2024-2025 school year at your earliest convenience. Use your ParentVUE username and password to register current students and to add any new students for the 2024-2025 school year.
If you have a ParentVUE account, we will follow up with a Parentsquare message that will include your username and instructions on how to reset your password if necessary. Please do not create a new account as this will delay registration requests and may require you to repeat the process with the correct account.
If you do not have a ParentVUE account we encourage you to contact your school to begin the process. In addition to the online registration process, this account allows you to monitor your student’s attendance, grades, report cards and more. It also gives a convenient way to send and receive messages with teachers.
Just a reminder that MSD Warren Township, in partnership with the Indiana Immunization Coalition, will provide a clinic to accommodate immunizations required for school-age children on Wednesday, March 20, at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Families are asked to pre-register for this event. The registration link for the immunization clinic is patients.vaxcare.com/registration. After clicking on the link, enter the enrollment code, IN65942, and then select Warren Schools-3/20. Linked here are the required immunizations for school-age children.
