Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,
A couple of important updates in this week’s communication.
Friday, October 2nd is our last day of school prior to our two week Fall Intersession Break. Students will resume their classes on Monday, October 19th. Linked here is our 20-21 school calendar and our Semester 1 IN-PERSON ALTERNATING Day Black and Gold Schedule.
During Fall Intersession Break, we will be providing breakfast and lunch distribution on Tuesday, October 6th and Tuesday, October 13th from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Warren Central High School and Moorhead Community Resource Center. Multiple days of meals will be provided each Tuesday.
Reminder that there is no school for PK-8 students on Thursday, October 22nd due to parent teacher conferences. High school students will attend as they normally would.
Families who are making a transition from VIRTUAL to IN-PERSON or from IN-PERSON to VIRTUAL can access ParentVue for additional information including their child’s new teacher information. Families will also receive an email later this week with important details about their transition.
In previous communications, I shared that we were experiencing some technical issues with our transition to our new student information system, Synergy. Attendance is one of those issues that we are still working through. As we end the first grading period, attendance may not appear on student report cards. We are making every effort to post this information in ParentVue and hope to have this issue resolved for the second grading period.
I hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable Fall Break. Thank you for your inCREdible efforts in getting us here.
Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
