January 21 Update Graphic

January 21, 2022

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff

First, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for everyone’s efforts in getting through this most recent COVID challenge. As we look at our District and County Data and see them gradually improve, we will be bringing back our students and staff on a staggered schedule. By staggering our return, we can continue to monitor the data and make adjustments if needed, allow additional time for our students and staff to be cleared for returning from isolation and quarantine, and for us to continue to meet our staffing needs by utilizing staff to support in other areas throughout the District.

Warren Early Childhood Center will return to in-person on Monday, January 24th for preschool and daycare. Families who attend the ECC can expect additional information from Mrs. Fessler.

All elementary school students and staff will remain virtual on Monday, January 24th and Tuesday, January 25th and will return to in-person learning on Wednesday, January 26th. Elementary students and families will receive additional information on Monday or Tuesday from their teachers and school principal.

All intermediate middle and high school students and staff will remain virtual the week of January 24th thru January 28th and will return to in-person learning on Monday, January 31st. 5-12 students and families will receive additional information later next week from their school principals.

Food distribution will be shifted to Monday and Wednesday next week to accommodate all of our students. Locations and times will remain the same. 11:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m at Creston, Stonybrook, Raymond Park, Renaissance and Warren Central High School. Monday will include 4 meals for all students and Wednesday will include 5 meals for 5-12 students only.

As we continue to work together to provide a safe return to in-person learning, please continue to:

  • Monitor for COVID like symptoms and stay home and get tested if you are not feeling well

  • Report positive COVID cases to your child’s school

  • Follow COVID safety protocols of appropriate and consistent mask use, maintaining at least 3 feet social distance, and continue to wash hands frequently

Thank you again for your patience, understanding and cooperation in creating a safe environment for our students and staff to return to.

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
