Superintendent Update May 18, 2022

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff, 

This is Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township, with a couple of  important announcements for the week of May 18. 

Just a reminder that schools will be communicating with students and families about details on returning District issued technology and devices. If you have any District issued devices, please return them to your child’s school prior to the last day of the school year. Devices not returned could be subject to a replacement fee. High school students taking summer school will be able to keep their device. 

This summer, MSD Warren, in partnership with Chartwells, will be providing summer meals for all children 18 years old and younger at several locations throughout the District, starting Tuesday, May 31. Breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m, and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be provided at our school locations of Brookview, Liberty Park, Lowell, Sunny Heights, Stonybrook, Warren Central High School, and Renaissance. Lunch only, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be served at Moorhead Community Resource Center and at the Silverstone Community. Menus will be available online at, and all meals will be served on-site. Meals will be served until Friday, July 22, 2022. 

MSD Warren Township, in partnership with the Indiana Immunization Coalition, will be providing a clinic to accommodate  immunizations required for school-age children, and the COVID vaccine for individuals 5 years and older, on Monday, July 18, at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 3- 6 p.m. Families are encouraged to pre-register for this event at  After clicking on the link, enter the enrollment code, IN65942, and then select Warren Schools-7/18. This Friday, May 20, the Warren Central Jazz Ensemble, in collaboration with 16th Street Soul and RADIUS, is proud to present the 2022 Jazz Café: Jazz Under the Stars! Enjoy hor d'oeuvres before the concert and a dessert & coffee bar during the intermission. As we head into the last week of this school year, I want to congratulate the class of 2022! You have demonstrated such resilience and commitment to get to this point! We are excited to recognize and celebrate you this year at your commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 2, at 10 a.m., at the Warrior Football Stadium. Details of the ceremony will be forthcoming from Mr. Shepler and your Senior Cohort this week and at the Senior Luncheon on Friday, May 20. 

Just a reminder that Thursday, May 26,  is our last day of this school year, and July 28 is the first day of the 22-23 school year.
